About Our Church

KAPA’A MISSIONARY CHURCH EXISTS TO LOVE GOD, LIVE ALOHA AND MAKE DISCIPLES FOR JESUS.

OUR PURPOSE

Kapa’a Missionary Church is focused on three areas of commitment in Loving God and Living Aloha found within John 15 that expresses our purpose beautifully.

COMMITMENT TO CHRIST

To Love, Worship, and Praise God is our prime commitment and call from Jesus. John 15:1-11: “Abide in Me” (Loving God)

COMMITMENT TO THE BODY OF CHRIST

To love and care for each other in the body of Christ is our second commitment and call from Jesus. What flows out of the first priority is the response to pass it on to those around us as a gratitude response!  John 15:12 “Love one another” (Living Aloha)

COMMITMENT TO THE MISSION OF CHRIST

To Love, and care for each other in the community and world is our third commitment and call from Jesus. What flows out of the first and second priority is the response to pass it on to those around us as a gratitude response for what Jesus did for us! John 15:16 Go and bear fruit” (Loving God and Living Aloha)

OUR VISION

“To Reach out with God’s Love”   – Matthew 5:16

OUR VALUES

A Bible-based Ministry

We believe that the Word of God is the foundation of our ministry and able to thoroughly equip us for every good work. (2 Peter 1:20-21, 2 Timothy 3:16-17)

The Power of Prayer

We believe that spiritual results come through spiritual means. (Luke 11:9-10, James 5:16b-18)

Ministering Together

We believe that every member is a minister who has been given gifts to be discovered, developed, and deployed. (Ephesians 2:10, 4:11-16)

Genuine Worship

We believe that worship is recognizing what God is worth and then giving Him what He is worth. (Psalm 96:1-8, Romans 12:1-2)

Outreach

We believe that responsible evangelism will always be our cause and ongoing discipleship will always be the core of our ministry. (Matthew 25:45, 28:19-20)

Growing in Relationship

We believe we grow best together. (Hebrews 10:24-25, Ephesians 4:16)

Our History

Kapa’a Missionary Church started out of the passion of two women – Dorothy Rothfuss and Virginia Meier – who sought to reach children through Bible study classes at Moloaa Camp in 1952.

Our Staff

Kapa’a Missionary Church is made up an outstanding staff that love Jesus and seek to serve Him. Take some time to get to know them and what they are passionate about.

What We Believe

There is but one eternal, all-powerful, all-knowing and everywhere-present Triune God—Father, Son and Holy Spirit— who is the creator and sustainer of all things (Deuteronomy 6:4-5; 1 Timothy 2:5).
